Volume 3 of a series of 20 releases. Installments were not released in chronological order; this volume was the 17th to be released.
Hardcover book in Japanese order (“back-to-front”), 22 pages, with record sleeve in back cover.
This installment covers the years Showa 7 to 9 (1932-1934).
Side 1 is stereo and consists of re-recordings by contemporary artists; side 2 is mono and consists of period recordings.
The book has sections on painter Yumeji Takehisa, poet Yaso Saijou, a long historical article, lyrics to the songs and liner notes, and biographies of the principal musical artists from that period.
Some inconsistencies: the second singer on track A4 is written as 若葉 on the sleeve, but 若羽 on the record label; the singer of track B7 is given as 松原 操 on the sleeve, but ミス・コロムビア on the label (which is actually an alias of Ms. Matsubara).
